Training for trainers
We are seeking colleagues with an interest in delivering safeguarding children training to a multi-agency audience across Medway.
The MSCP have two courses Basic and Intermediate safeguarding children training that are both CPD certificated. Trainers will be expected to deliver these twice a year.
MSCP ran a Train the Trainer Day in May 2025. Our current partner agency training pool is sufficient.
The course will include;
- Training preparation
- Learning styles
- Equality, diversity and inclusion
- Effective group facilitation
- Evaluating training
- Practice presentation session
What trainers will get
You will get support from current trainers and MSCP around delivery and if you’re already trained as a trainer then we will let you know about the current MSCP training packages ready to deliver.
Trainer requirements
For most MSCP courses, there are two trainers required, each being from a different agency which will offer a positive dynamic for the group being trained.
How training is delivered
The training for MSCP is delivered on a multi-agency basis and delegates will be from a variety of services including health, education, police, Kent fire and rescue service, youth services, social services, probation, foster care.
The training you will deliver will use your skills as a trainer and call upon your experience as a frontline practitioner in Medway working with children and families.
What we’re looking for
Mostly we’re looking for practitioners with the knowledge and experience to deliver our specialist training.
