The Reducing Parental Conflict OnePlusOne Digital Resource is designed to help parents reflect on conflict in their relationship with current or ex partners and the impact of that conflict on their children.

The resource uses videos and animations which incorporate evidence-based techniques to promote behaviour change. The practitioner training is designed for anyone who works with parents. Throughout the session the word ‘practitioner’ is used to refer to anyone who supports parents.

This course is available to all Medway Schools and all MSCP Partner agencies and organisations.

Please note that you will need to bring your own laptop or device as these will not be provided for the duration of the training.

Course content

You will be trained in the use of three digital resources designed to reduce parental conflict with three different audiences:

• Me, You and Baby Too for new parents
• Arguing better for parents experiencing stress and conflict
• Getting it Right for Children for separating or separated parents.

Course objectives

The session’s aim is to enhance your knowledge, understanding, skills, and confidence to work with parents.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

• Raise parents’ awareness of the issue of parental conflict.
• Use digital resources to help parents recognise conflict.
• Enable parents to develop positive communication skills and helpful conflict behaviours.

Places on MSCP courses are limited. If you can’t attend a course for any reason you must tell us at least 5 working days before the course date.

Tell us be emailing mscptraining@medway.gov.uk or by giving written notification. If you fail to tell the MSCP, a cancellation charge of £100 may apply.
