Education, Health and Care Plans training

The Special Educational Needs and Disability Training  will support multi agency partners to improve their understanding of the SEND reforms 2014 and how Medway professionals can support children, young people and their families to meet their needs.

The training will encompass the achievements and challenges in relation to the ‘Written Statement of Action’ following the Joint Ofsted and CQC Inspection in 2018 including the SEND Strategy, progress in the EHCP process and the Local Offer.

Case studies will support national evidence that suggests that disabled children and young people are at increased risk of abuse and the presence of multiple disabilities appears to increase the risk of both abuse and neglect.
